How long does the process take?

The process for receiving energy efficiency improvements through schemes like LA Flex or ECO4 typically takes a few weeks from start to finish, but the exact timeline can vary depending on a few factors:
  1. Initial Enquiry & Eligibility Check:
Once you submit your enquiry or application, the provider will usually contact you within a few days to gather more information and check your eligibility.
  2. Survey & Assessment:
If you’re eligible, a home survey will be scheduled. This often happens within 1–2 weeks of your initial enquiry, depending on availability.
  3. Approval & Scheduling:
After the survey, your application is processed and approved. This can take another 1–2 weeks, especially if additional paperwork or permissions (like landlord consent for tenants) are needed.
  4. Installation:
Once approved, installation is typically booked within 1–3 weeks. Most energy efficiency improvements (like insulation or heating upgrades) are completed in a day or two.
In summary:
From enquiry to completed installation, the whole process usually takes between 3–6 weeks, depending on demand, your location, and how quickly required documents are provided.
